October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month: Let's Talk Self-Care and Empowerment!
Hey there, beautiful! It's October, and you know what that means – it's time to paint the town pink! But Breast Cancer Awareness Month is about so much more than just ribbons and fundraisers. It's about empowering ourselves and each other, spreading awareness, and showing some serious love to everyone touched by breast cancer.
Why This Month Matters (And Why You Matter Too!)
Did you know that breast cancer is the most common cancer among women worldwide? Chances are, you or someone you love has been affected by it. But here's the good news: early detection and amazing advancements in treatment have seriously boosted survival rates. That's why we're all about encouraging regular self-checks and mammograms – because your health is worth it, girl!
Founders Eugenia & Wendy
Our CEO's Story
At conditionHER, breast cancer awareness is close to our hearts. Our amazing founder, Wendy, was diagnosed with stage 1 invasive ductal carcinoma in May 2023. She bravely underwent a lumpectomy and radiation treatments, and now she's on a mission to spread the word about early detection.Wendy's top tips for staying on top of your breast health:- If you're 40+, get that annual mammogram (unless your doc says otherwise).
- Make self-exams a regular part of your routine.
- Know your family history.
- Consider genetic testing for cancer-related gene mutations.
Self-Care Meets Self-Checks: A Match Made in Heaven
Speaking of self-exams, why not make them part of your self-care routine? While you're pampering your skin with conditionHER (which, by the way, is totally safe for breast cancer patients because it's hormone-free), take a moment to check in with your girls. It's all about loving yourself inside and out!
Celebrating Our Warriors and Survivors
This month is for all you incredible fighters and survivors out there. Your strength and resilience are truly awe-inspiring. And to everyone supporting a loved one through their journey – you're absolute rockstars too!
How You Can Make a Difference (Yes, You!)
